Construction on Vung Ang 1 Power Plant (27/09/2012)

 

Vung Ang Thermal Power Plant has a capacity of 1,200 MW with 2 units to be built in Ky Loi Commune, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province. Plants using coal technology direct injection of the G7 countries. Coal plant is coal and domestic coal consumption 5 with 2.9 million tons per year. When operational, the plant will contribute to the national grid of 7.2 billion KWh per year, sales of about 289 million per year (equivalent to about 4900 billion).
 
The power plant projects in Vung Ang 1 has been approved by the Prime Minister is in general electrical diagram of Planning VI national electricity development for 2006-2015, taking 2025 and shall apply any special mechanism compensation for construction of power projects urgent 2006-2010 (Under the Decision of TTgCP 1195/QD-TTg on 09/11/2005).
 
Once completed and operational, the plant will provide a significant amount of power, contributing to the shortage of electric power systems for 2006-2015 and the national security functions amounts to the industrialization and modernization of the country.
