The second turbine of the Dong Nai 4 Hydro-power Plant has successfully merged electricity into the national grid. (18/06/2012)

 

At 9 AM, June 16, 2012 Lilama 45.1 has connected its last turbine to gird with a capacity of 170 MW under witness of Electricity of Vietnam.

 

The Dong Nai 4 Hydro-power Plant, comprising of two turbines with total capacity of 340MW (2x170MW) is expected to produce more than 1,100 million kWh a year. It is the largest hydro-power electric complex in Southern Vietnam. Apart from generating electricity, the Dong Nai 3 and 4 Hydro-power plants will provide more water for irrigation and aquatic culture to promote regional socio-economic development.

 

The Dong Nai 4 Hydro-power Plant has a 128m RCC (Roller Compacted Concrete) dam and a 4,176m long tunnel with the diameter of 8m. Previously, the first turbine of the Dong Nai 4 started to generate electricity on March 28, 2012, making contribution to fulfilling the EVN’s investment target in 2012.
