Fabrication of mechanical equipment and steel structures; Installation of mechanical equipment; Receiving, transportation, storage, preservation, handling of materials on site; Construction of temporary items, supporting services, commissioning and handover
Project Overview:
O Mon 1 Thermal Power Plant comprises of two machine units with a total capacity of 660MW, annual average power output about 3.6 billion kWh. The project is managed by Electricity of Viet Nam (owner), Can Tho Thermal Power Company Limited as representative, TEPSCO as Design Consultant. Main Contruction Contractor is consortium of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Coporation.
The project has a total investment capital of VND 6,666 billion (85% capital funded by Janpan International Cooperation Bank through supporting fund resource (ODA) of the Janpan Goverment.
According the plan, the machine units 1 will begin operating of generating electricity by the end of year 2008 and the another one will begin operationg till year 2010.
Following the sucessfull completion of the Unit 1 of O Mon 1 Thermal Power Plant, O Mon Power Center, which planned with total capacity of 2,800MW, also has other projects such as O Mon 2 (720MW), O Mon 3 (700MW) and O Mon 4 (720MW). A total of investment capital for project about USD 2 billion, consumption about 4 billion m³ gas/year. Along with Ca Mau Thermal Power Plant, which will begin on March 2009, the O Mon Power Center will meet demand of power of the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta region and Campodia well.
